Aroview: Heavyweight has-beens De Niro and Pacino team up again as a couple of NYPD detectives on the trail of a serial killer, whose signature murders they recognise from the past.

This Al & Bob vehicle possesses all the requisite NYPD grit, and the righteous killings rack up as quickly as the plot's simple knot unhitches. De Niro finds his brooding menace emulsified and left out for 30 years, but luckily partner Pacino manages some effervescence, his wry gum-chewing candor sealing memories of the duo's potential chemistry, at its peak in Michael Mann's HEAT. Despite this, poor direction got poor Al nominated for the Razzie's Worst Actor. Amongst the numerous perps, gangsta rapper 50 Cent reprises his real life role as gangsta 50 Cent to play the role of gangsta.
