4 stars (Very Good) The Swimmer appears to tell a shallow story, but slowly deepens into a subtle character exploration. While Lancaster's character swims cheerfully away from the truth, we learn how troubled waters really lie from the ripples in his wake. A very good film. ~Anon
4 stars (Very Good) A broken man attempts an odyssey ('I can swim home') across well-heeled suburbia. Sharp and unsettling. ~Shorty
2 stars (Good Try) The plot idea is fresh but the script at times is pretty ordinary. ~Tubbs
