Track of the Cat

Aroview: Claustrophobic allegorical western finds a feuding family snowbound and under siege from a less than benevolent panther.

Certainly something of a curio and long unreleased, this western boasts striking cinematography, and an atypical Mitchum performance. Under Wellman's direction it skates perilously close to hysterical melodrama at times, but is never less than a compelling watch.
