Aroview: French tough guy Johnny Hallyday returns to China to exact revenge on his family's killers in another high class shoot 'em up from Hong Kong's action technician, Johnnie To.

By comparison a stately affair to the bullet ballets of John Woo, dir. To’s action sequences contain their fair share of posturing, ammunition, and slow-motion, though in their particular artfulness may underwhelm those seeking the run-and-gun exhilaration usually associated with this very Eastern genre. Also featuring To’s loyal entourage of heavies, who effectively reprise their roles as outcast hitmen from this film’s more entertaining predecessor, the spaghetti western-inspired EXILED.
