Carefree in glorifying the deeds of its titular man-o-war, this is a shameless WWII spectacle comfortable with mimicking Hollywood blockbusters and giving its audience – in particular, the Norwegians who flocked to cinemas to relive the legend of their national hero – something to cheer about.
