Edge Of Darkness
Aroview: Kiwi Martin Campbell helms this compact Hollywood remake of the 1986 BBC mini-series he also directed.
Despite Mel Gibson’s gun-toting cover pose as a detective on the hunt for his daughter’s murderer, Campbell guides the story of corporate conspiracy with a firm, but restrained hand that strikes a satisfying balance between slow-burn mystery and instantly gratifying thrills.

2 stars (Good Try) Why re-make a critically acclaimed film? ~Tubbs
2 stars (Good Try) We watched the original mini-series last night and this one tonight. Mel Gibson doesn't compare at all to Bob Peck and the plot was weak. Even with Ray Winstone it's not worth watching. ~CAR
