Dir. Chris Morris
Rating: [R13]
Genres: Comedy / Hostages & Terrorism
Aroview: Explosive comedy of folly and idiocy that follows four would-be Jihadists as they bicker and blunder towards their intended target.
Perhaps only the English could have the 'bollocks' to get away with such barbed treatment of a touchy, topical subject, but those familiar with Chris Morris's TV work ("Brass Eye", "The Day Today") will know exactly what to expect. Like the previous year's IN THE LOOP, this wraps up its politics in a torrent of thick accents and buffoonery that might need a second viewing to fully absorb, though first time through it still pays off generously with big laughs and a deadly sobering message. Those that like their satire undiluted by reverent platitudes will want to look no further.

5 stars (Exceptional) A film that is both hilarious and tragic. It will leave you shaken. ~Wizzums
4 stars (Very Good) ~Leighton
4 stars (Very Good) A group of bumbling terrorists with a knack of mucking up spectacularly. Truly funny, laugh out load moments, for such dead serious subject matter. Totally original, and gutsy, but it just worked so well. ~GenXGirl
5 stars (Exceptional) ~Milana
4 stars (Very Good) The screenplay weakens a bit toward the end but it takes the piss wonderfully well. Let us hope Hollywood doesn't remake it - if they do blood could spill from the fallout. ~Tubbs
4 stars (Very Good) ~Regando
