Synopsis: A lesbian couple's teenage children get in touch with their biological sperm-donor father, setting off a chain of game-changing events.
Aroview: Feathers fly in this smart and insightful comedy-drama anchored by three terrific lead performances whose character's unique relationships are thoroughly mapped and satisfying. A breakthrough film for writer-director Cholodenko which has found its way to the top of many critics lists, its also pleasurable for its sparkling 35mm cinematography, which brings a certain splendour to those Californian domestic interiors.
