Aroview: A muscular, at times brutal, war film set during the Russian invasion of Afghanistan follows a regiment from training to ill-fated combat with the mujahideen. Predictable, and a tad sentimental in parts, but certainly an impressive technical achievement which unfortunately remains timely.
