Dir. Alfonso Cuaron
Genres: Science Fiction / Adventure, Outer Space

Synopsis: Sandra Bullock is adrift in the Earth's orbit after a routine shuttle mission goes awry in this sensational, ground breaking space odyssey from dir. Alfonso Cuaron.
Aroview: Is GRAVITY the first really new film of the 21st Century? I hazard it may be. It is certainly the first to harness the bleeding edge of the current technologies (performance capture, 3D, sophisticated robotic camera rigs) to serve a story that could only really exist in this form...
What Cuarón has managed here?—?through a combination of exquisite sound design, near-perfect VFX and his trademark long, fluid takes?—?is to make you believe. The debates about the science have been going back and forth for a while but the film feels authentic which is the most important thing, right? A simple story, made to look simple with the aid of about a hundred million dollars, GRAVITY is a new benchmark for cinema entertainment. ~ Dan Slevin

3 stars (Good Enough) It flew by, it looks great, but I couldn't help thinking it's just an episode of 'I Shouldn't Be Alive' with out-of-this-world production values. ~HiFi
4 stars (Very Good) Overproduced but good Hollywood movie. George Clooney in top form; Sandra Bullock tries hard. Good zero-g physics--worth watching for that alone. ~Anon
2 stars (Good Try) Will watch it again with subtitles - couldn't understand the mumblings inside the helmets. Story far fetched. Looks good but doesn't deliver all that much. ~Tubbs
