“A starkly commanding thriller.”~Time Out
Aroview: A Danish cargo ship is hijacked off the coast of Somalia in this gripping, intense maritime adventure that cuts out all the action heroics usually associated with hostage movies, replacing them with an underlying, nauseating sense of dread; it's a nail-biter about being under the gun.

4 stars (Very Good) "Time Out" film critics are very hard to please so it has good credentials.I thought it was well above average for a hostage film.Tom Cruise will probably do the inevitable remake with a different ending. ~Tubbs

4 stars (Very Good) Terrific film that shows yet again the versatility of these Danish actors. A real character driven piece which works on a truly psychological level (unlike Captain Phillips with which it is often compared). ~Andrea
4 stars (Very Good) ~Regando
3 stars (Good Enough) Not bad ~Catapillar
4 stars (Very Good) Filmed on actual ship nr Mombasa with its sailors. Terrible ordeal for owners, crew & loved ones over many months. Management knew sailors personally and communicated by sat phone. Somali violence truly scary & film much grittier than "Captain Phillips" ~Sandy
