Sunshine on Leith
Aroview: Bouncing off the solid catalogue of hits from died-in-the-wool Scots popsters The Proclaimers, this jubilant musical inspires with its romantic show tunes and lust for life in the picaresque doldrums of Edinburgh.
Based on the hit stageplay, it builds its narrative around three romantic couplings, two of whom have served in the British Army fighting in Afghanistan. As sweet as shortbread and a refreshing change from the all-American model.

5 stars (Exceptional) A lovely light story of ordinary folk in Edinburgh, with the various happenings in their linked lives, music by the Proclaimers. Funny and touching. ~buttercup
3 stars (Good Enough) One good tuneful tune - Jane Horrocks and Peter Mullan always worth a watch. ~Tubbs
