4 stars (Very Good) Complete absence of those tortured-artist cliches that litter soo many painter bios. Timothy Spall is in top form. Deceptively funny and perceptively affecting film. ~Regando
4 stars (Very Good) Commendably it at times portrays Turner unflatteringly and typically the director's attention to detail is impressive. The cinematography at times is stunning. ~Tubbs
