Tale of Tales
“A Grand Guignol pop-up storybook, full of metaphorical dark woods and morality plays.”~David Fear, Rolling Stone
Aroview: Wonderfully imaginative, cohesive portmanteau film comprised of three unusual, somewhat grotesque fairy tales featuring sea monsters, lustful kings and a giant flea. The international cast appear to be having a blast with this ripe "continental gothic", presided over by the Italian director of GOMORRAH and REALITY, who demonstrates much method in his playful madness.

4 stars (Very Good) It would be pretty hard to be bored watching this as it has plenty of variety and unexpectedness in the content. It is well presented and the cast is also an interesting mix. ~Tubbs
