“A fiercely original, pleasantly unpredictable character piece. ”~Helen O'Hara, Empire Magazine
Aroview: Viggo Mortensen stars in this provocative yet delightful drama set in the forests of the Pacific Northwest as a father devoted to raising his six kids with a rigorous physical and intellectual education.
While it has polarised audiences along personal-political lines and the front-and-centre parenting issues are not for everyone, this does exceptionally well to balance several points of view while each of the many characters deal convincingly with grief and loss in their own way. It's a film that has a lot to say, and has an original, sincere and entertaining way of saying it.

5 stars (Exceptional) My personal favourite film of 2016. While one of the funniest films of the year, it is also one of the smartest- using a almost conversational tone and creating 3 dimensional characters to create discussion instead of preach.rn ~Sevenhead
2 stars (Good Try) The first half is fine with its fresh material but it loses its way in the second half and at times goes off the rails. ~Tubbs
2 stars (Good Try) Original Aspect ratio 2.39 : 1 ~Anonz
