Leave No Trace
“Dir. Granik films with subtlety and quiet grace, but Leave No Trace explodes in the mind. ”~Village Voice
Aroview: Local actress Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie is stunning in this haunting film from the director of WINTER'S BONE. Set in the Oregon forest, where she plays a 13-year-old being raised unconventionally "off the grid" by her father, a troubled war vet with whom she has a profound bond.

3 stars (Good Enough) For the two main characters it is easy to find both sympathy and empathy and this is in no small part due to the performances. I will have no problem re-watching it. ~Tubbs
5 stars (Exceptional) Unusual, intense & moving. Very subtle acting & beautifully filmed forest interiors where a PTSD victim and his loving daughter hide out from 'the system'. A painful reminder of who pays the true price of US military adventures. Profound & unforgettable ~Sandy
