Aroview: Tim Burton's spectacular adaptation of the young adult fantasy novel about a teenager who discovers a portal to a different time in coastal Wales where a Miss Peregrine protects a group of eternally-young and special-powered children from mortal danger.
The director draws on his usual bag of eccentric visual tricks, and does especially well harnessing a complex concept that provides quite a number of memorable fantasy set pieces, some of which will be too intense for younger children.

2 stars (Good Try) The ingredients are there - Director, screenplay, special effects and a fine adult cast but it is all a bit flat. ~Tubbs
