Party, The
“It's a curt, nasty and deftly acted chamber piece high on laughs and savagery about frustrated idealism and how little it takes to make society fall to pieces.”~Patrick Gamble, CineVue
Aroview: A bitingly sharp social satire from the usually more experimental director Sally Potter (ORLANDO) with an experienced ensemble cast lead by Patricia Clarkson. Janet (Kristin Scott Thomas) is throwing a party at her London home to celebrate her new ministerial position in the opposition party. But her husband Bill makes a sudden and unexpected announcement, opening the floodgates for a hilarious and absurd breakdown of middle-class, left-liberal social mores.
