Best of Enemies, The
“A rock-solid movie: squarely deliberate, a little long and predictable, but honest and thoughtful enough, precise in its period and locale, with very strong performances.”~Owen Gleiberman, Variety
Aroview: Civil rights activist Ann Atwater is the subject of this historical race relations drama which offers a perhaps more interesting alternative to the more successful and hyped GREEN BOOK. Set in North Carolina in 1971, where Atwater fights for racial integration in schools, despite the opposition of the Ku Klux Klan.

3 stars (Good Enough) Whilst I believe Ann Atwater's story would have been best served by a documentary, rather than this (overlong) dramatisation, it is worth watching because of the performances. I intend to read the story of this courageous civil rights activist. ~Tubbs
