4 stars (Very Good) Compelling is the word - I was glued to the screen. Davis was never more appealing, in my opinion. Great cast, music, cinematography. And for a 'tearjerker' it fairly rips along. ~HiFi
3 stars (Good Enough) For non-romantics, the screenplay may not be that interesting but it is worthwhile because of the quality of the casting. The scenes between Bette and her mum were the best for me. ~Tubbs
