2001: A Space Odyssey
Aroview: Stanley Kubrick's milestone sci-fi film is a magnificent visual wonder.
Based on the short story 'The Sentinal' by Arthur C. Clarke, this traces the stages of Man, from evolutionary, predatory animals, to futuristic space travellers on a mission to Jupiter who are being sabotaged by a malfunctioning computer known as HAL. Meticulously crafted and miles ahead of its time, it remains a giant enigma that is complusively (re)watchable.

2 stars (Good Try) A film which was completely confusing, with poor voice quality, and outdated characters, and scenery. It only received two stars, because a) Its end visuals were awesome, and b) HAL was a cool baddie! ~Anon
