France 1993, 97 minutes
Dir. Krzysztof Kieslowski
In French with English subtitles
Rating: [M]
Genres: Foreign Cinema, Drama / Classical Music
Topics: Arthouse.
Aroview: Immaculate, introspective meditation on grief, redemption and liberty, Kieslowski's masterpiece borders on the pretentious. This redefines ART cinema, each shot being an achievement in itself like a series of stills in an art gallery, the effect keeping the viewer detached and yet somehow enraptured.
