Hudsucker Proxy, The
Aroview: In a blissfully art-directed industrial '50s, an 'entry-level' innocent (Tim Robbins) is unwittingly catapulted to corporate supremacy. The Coens' throwback to '30s screwball comedies cleverly mimics the golden-age style, with many sequences are so dazzling in their execution that it simply demands to be seen at least once.

4 stars (Very Good) While the overall film is a softer effort from the Coens, its still full of wonderful and hilarious moments. ~Wizzums
5 stars (Exceptional) Witty & warm. I re-rented because I watched it in the 90s & loved it; still just as good as I remember. ~Truant
3 stars (Good Enough) The first half hour is very strong - the set designs and wardrobe impressive. The screenplay loses a bit of impetus after that except for segments here and there. ~Tubbs
