Spawn
Aroview: Mightily fluid digital FX are the primary inspiration in this version of Todd McFarlane's cult comic book, wherein the forces of light and darkness battle in a retro-gothic cityscape. Theresa Randle figures amid the morphing, while Martin Sheen beards himself to avoid recognition.

3 stars (Good Enough) Parts of Spawn are stylistically brilliant, with rich gothic attitude, while others are blatantly cartoonish. Similarly, some effects are great, and others very early 90s. These inconsistencies undermine what could have been an excellent adaptation. ~Tom H
3 stars (Good Enough) It doesn't look as expensively made as many other comic adaptations but its one of the more enjoyable ones.It also doesn't appear to take itself seriously which helps. ~Tubbs
2 stars (Good Try) ~Wyatt Earp
