Aroview: Boldly experimental thriller from the director of THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE, in which a bored businessman opts for a new, 'more fulfilling' identity (complete with plastic surgery - he ends up as Rock Hudson) through the help of a mysterious organisation. Despite its 'dime-store Kafka' pretensions, the visual inventiveness and audacity of cameraman James Wong Howe is astonishing.

3 stars (Good Enough) The screenplay has a strong first half hour and ending. Rock Hudson doesn't do too badly but he's outperformed by John Randolph and an excellent supporting cast. The top black and white photography is the icing on the cake. ~Tubbs
3 stars (Good Enough) 'Stomp those grapes' ~Regando
