Loss of Sexual Innocence, The

Aroview: Intriguing, largely slated work from Dir. Mike Figgis (LEAVING LAS VEGAS) takes poetic licence to extremes with a series of interwoven, symbolic scenarios, loosely based around the life of a film ethnographer (Julian Sands). Contains some startling imagery (it's partly filmed in Africa), and a stubbornly non-logical structure that none-too-coyly plumbs the titular subject-matter.
