Aroview: A loop-ily solemn mission to the red planet in the year 2020 with Gary Sinise, Tim Robbins and Don Cheadle, that threatens at times to overcome its limitations, but settles for a few brilliant scenes.

Out to discover what happened to a previous mission (shredded by Martians), our intrepid astronauts' chief hurdle is the filler dialogue, but with visual-stylist De Palma at the helm there are compensations.

3 stars (Good Enough) The special effects do not overwhelm but are used discerningly to support a screenplay, that although intelligent in its better segments, would have been improved if shorter and more focused. ~Tubbs
