Aroview: The journey northward of a Guatemalan brother and sister (Zaide Silvia Gutierrez and David Villalpando) on the run is an epic saga of the modern world, as they traverse Central America from the Mayan highlands to modernday Los Angeles.

Made independently, this Oscar-nominated work caused a stir on its release, dues to its outsider perspective told through the eyes of migrant labour, equally for its stylised, ‘magic realist’ imagery.
