Aroview: Pointed, if slightly familiar satire of Communist life, has a smalltown clerk in Poland buy a Super8 film camera and begin to film life around him, with unintended consequences.
His home movies progress to short documentaries and he wins a prize, increasing his passion for his art but creating tensions on the home front. Finally, the government starts to take an interest in his 'activities'... Subdued, but intelligent work in true Kieslowski tradition.
