Man of Marble
Aroview: One of dir. Wadja's later masterpieces is a strong attack on the tactics and hypocrisy of the Communist government of the day.
A film student begins to construct a documentary of a 'worker hero' of the idealistic 1950s, but as she investigates she discovers a web of official lies. Soon, she is the subject of censorship and is pressured to 'revise' her account. Not as programmatic as it sounds, this is a subtle and powerful analysis of political corruption.
