My Life Without Me
Aroview: This award-winning vignette concerns a young woman (Polley), told by her doctor she has only a short time to live, who strives to secretly fulfil herself in the time available.
Keeping her fate hidden from all around her, she siezes the moment as never before, a difficult process given her circumscribed blue collar existence. Polley conveys her character's plight with a natural ease, and indeed the whole cast are convincing, yet the film cannot avoid a certain air of over-convenient events - the importance of which will depend on the viewer.

5 stars (Exceptional) Intensely sad, beautiful film written, shot, & directed by talented Spanish director Isabel Coixet (see Extras) in Canada. Lovely portrait of very poor young people who truly love one another. Great international cast & soundtrack. Highly recommended! ~Sandy
4 stars (Very Good) ~Regando
