American Film Theatre - Philadelphia, Here I Come
Aroview: A young Irishman agonises over whether to leave his stifling Irish existence and join relatives in America, in one of the more subdued American Film Theatre adaptations.
Though still featuring high quality performances and an authentic grubiness of 1970s locales, this stumbles a little trying to integrate the main story and flashbacks into a satisfactory whole. The original stageplay was by playwright Brian Friel (DANCING AT LUGHNASA).
