Mapplethorpe (2019): There is more than one documentary available on this artist so a dramatisation will find it hard to add knowledge.; DVD $29.95
Anne Of Green Gables (2016): Young Anne is not irritating and the production is well made.
Horrible Histories: The Movie - Rotten Romans (2019): The material is of a reasonable standard including the musical numbers.; DVD $29.95
That Obscure Object of Desire (1977): The suave Fernando Rey anchors this uneven screenplay – it has an unnecessary slapping scene and there is some repetitive interaction between the three leads –, but it does contain some expected Bunuel touches.
Love and Other Drugs (2010): Even for a rom–com, the material is weak.
Matter of Life and Death, A (1946): For a film made in the 1940s, the special effects were well produced. Of equal excellence was the writing & the casting of Livesey & Massey for the crucial trial scene was spot on. 75 years on & this excellent piece of filmmaking is still to be admired.
A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019): It was so uninspiring that it was hard to maintain interest.
Scream, Queen! My Nightmare On Elm Street (Scream Queen! My Nightmare On Elm Street) (2019): The documentary never lacks for interest and It has encouraged me to re–watch the original film.
Seberg (2019): I hadn't heard the story before so it was interesting and Kristen Stewart fulfills her part very well.; DVD $29.95
Ultraviolet (2006): It was okay but it was not that distinguishable and will not stay in the memory long.
