Laramie Project, The (2002): Proceedings are a bit static at times – a bit of a blow by blow description of events – but there is a terrific cast on hand to ease things through.
Japon (Japan) (2002): The camera was inventive and unusual at times which made the screenplay that more interesting but its main strength was capturing the impressive landscapes.
Third Star (2010): A well performed/written bittersweet screenplay set in an attractive location.
Benedetta (2021): The photogenics are rolled out but not a fresh screenplay.; DVD $24.95
Sorry Angel (2018): It is hard work watching characters who are not doing anything useful with their lives.; DVD $29.95
Quo Vadis, Aida? (2020): The dramatisation did good work portraying the UN (some similarities to Rwanda) inadequacies, the Serbs, & in particular, the murders. I don't think the subplot about the translator protecting her family added any meaningful value to the overall message.; DVD $29.95
Eiffel (2021): File under "Romance".
Rose Plays Julie (2019): The screenplay is a bit overwrought at times but is well intentioned and performed.
Memoirs of an Invisible Man (1992): A decent enough screenplay using a common childhood fantasy well aided by some decent special effects.
Lucky One, The (2012): The suds in my eyes made it difficult to watch.
