Good Posture (2019): It didn't appeal but it has some good reviews elsewhere so it might be worth a try.
Pursuit of Happyness, The (2006): Soppy.
True Crime (1999): Another save the man on death row screenplay with the usual commercial ending.
Ride Lonesome (1959): Another successful collaboration between Randolph Scott, director Budd Boetticher, and writer Burt Kennedy.
Reader, The (2008): The screenplay was fine but the film's strength was the performance of Kate Winslet who is one of those actresses who will play an unglamorous part.
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (TV Series) (2004): It is different what more can you ask for(?)
Life Begins (TV Series) (2004): Very well written but just as importantly Caroline Quentin nails the lead part.
Rossellini's History Films: Renaissance and Enlightenment (The Age of the Medici, Cartesius, Blaise Pascal) (1972-1974): The screenplays were stagey and the viewing not exactly gripping at times but on reflection, there was a feeling that the time was well spent.
Elena (2011): The screenplay is uncomplicated and is not overburdened by dialogue but the silences, particularly through Nadezhda Markina as the lead character, are used well. The score by Philip Glass is a bonus.; DVD $29.95
Castle, The (1997): Extremely well written, the characters are exaggerated to just the right extent and the drawbridge is raised on proceedings at just the right time.
