Captain Amazingly Incredible and the Space Vampires from the Evil Planet! (2010)
It is not a clone.
Dinner Game, The (1998)
It needs to tread a fine line and does so by achieving a balance in its satire without being offensive to any particular persuasion. Importantly it doesn't overstay its welcome.
Kung Fu Dunk (Gong fu guan lan) (2007)
It has some entertaining segments but I don't think it knew what kind of film it wanted to be – Kung Fu, comedy, or sports and therefore what audience it wanted to attract.
Jewel of the Nile, The (1985)
A good old fashioned adventure yarn. The two leads are an excellent team.
Scott Pilgrim Vs The World (2010)
Cera is a bit one dimensional but there is compensation in the supporting cast. The screenplay is uneven but the good bits are worth waiting for.
Big Country, The (1958)
Burl Ives is the reason for the best scenes.
Mr. Wrong (1985)
The suspense is there but it is not overdone and it is not in your face. The suspense is believable because our heroine is believable and she is vulnerable and she could be me.
Let the Sunshine In (2017)
Nothing of importance happens and the male characters are a waste of celluloid but thankfully there is Juliette to brighten things up.
Weather Man, The (2005)
A very good plot idea is thwarted by another over the top performance from Cage. It would be good to read the story without the distraction of Cage's histrionics or watch a remake of the film with the title role recast.
Invasion, The (2007)
Whilst remakes generally fall under the description of lazy filmmaking, one based on the "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", you would expect to be interesting.
