What Men Want (2019)
A pleasing lead performance helps reduce the guiltiness of watching the silliness of the plot.
Alita: Battle Angel (2019)
It is worth watching because of the art work , set designs and special effects. Although the acting requirements aren't great Christoph Waltz's presence is a bonus.
Amazing Transparent Man, The (1960)
It is not great but not too long.
Last Man on Earth, The (1964)
Although the plot idea is excellent the screenplay, after some good early scenes, fails to see it through.
Pop Aye (2017)
Although the screenplay runs out of steam before the end up to then it is a delight. We are on elephant time wandering through rural Thailand encountering some odd characters and off beat comedic situations.
Tony Manero (2008)
Manero would be the most boring psychopath ever to appear on screen.
Turning Point, The (1977)
Shirley Mac and Anne B are very fine actresses but they don't always look comfortable in this which doesn't say much for the screenplay outside of the dance sequences.
Morons From Outer Space (1985)
The screenplay is uneven but there is enough comedic talent in the cast to keep the interest alive.
Miss Representation (2011)
The doc limited itself to the USA, but I don't think it mentioned the PBS. I would have thought that the PBS would have been a quality alternative to the male posturing media. As a tactic why not promote the values of the PBS(?)
Stardust Memories (1980)
Another example of writer/director Allen also being the leading man. This time Charlotte Rampling is the main one in the firing line. As usual there is a good jazz soundtrack.
