- Miss Sloane (2016)
- Not a likeable main character but Miss Sloane is what the movie is about. The constant talking is hard going. It's an assault on the ears, but the red herrings and the final twist at the end gives viewers a satisfying end to the movie.
- A Good Day to Die Hard (Die Hard 5) (2013)
- Kip–i–aye–ay! Another Die Hard movie. Gotta love Bruce Willis – aging or not. ☺
- King Rat (1965)
- I loved the book. Enjoyed the movie too. Well worth a watch.
- Longmire (TV Series) (2012)
- Based on the `Walt Longmire Mysteries' books. A modern day sheriff with old fashioned values keeps law & order in a region where he has no jurisdiction over the local reservation & its casino; where a lot of crime entwines with law breaking in his town.
- Nancy Astor (TV Mini-series) (1982)
- From a precocious child, Nancy Astor grew into an obnoxious, bigoted, verbal bully who believed in her own importance. Her, often hateful, attitude towards others pushed anyone who liked her away. I wanted to find some traits of endearment, but failed.
- Founder, The (2016)
- Having read the story of McDonalds, I was pleased to see that the dramatisation of the story of Ray Kroc, and how he obtained and grew the fast food chain, was quite factual. If only the McDonald's had listened to him, they'd be worth a fortune!
- Shetland (TV Series) (2013)
- Thoroughly enjoyed this series. A good solid police drama based on the remote island of Shetland. A degree in Scottish would help, but other than that, it's excellent.
- Judge, The (2014)
- I got this out thinking it was a courtroom drama. It isn't. It's a movie focusing on the relationship of a (lawyer) son with his (Judge) father and the unresolved family issues. Neither leads disappoint. A good solid film.
- A Few Good Men (1992)
- Entertaining movie starring a young Tom Cruise & Demi Moore. A disinterested lawyer learns a few lessons from a passionate, cool headed one, resulting in a good court room drama. Jack Nicholson is the true star. Seen it many times. Always enjoyed it.
- Conspiracy Theory (1997)
- One of those movies that you sit down and watch just for the sheer fun of it. Fast paced, Mel Gibson carries off the lovable nut–case perfectly. No–one believes the poor thing, but I did (but then I love conspiracy movies!)
