Angela's Ashes (1999)
The poverty, the weather, the prejudice, the hypocrisy. The set designers and builders do an exemplary job with the streets and dwellings – the opening scenes hit you between the eyes.
Going the Distance (2010)
Drew must have been broke or bribed to do this. The writing is poor and it relies on toilet humour, self abuse, kissing, and stuff like that. Didn't witness humping dogs though – not sure why.
Collective (2019)
I asked myself on more than one occasion whether this story could really be true.- DVD $29.95
Worst Person in the World, The (2021)
Spending two hours with these characters was hard work.- DVD $29.95
355, The (2022)
It would be indistinguishable from the rest if not for the fact that it probably holds the world record for the number of gunshots. Let us hope that its record is not broken so that we are not in line for a sequel.
Stillwater (2021)
I dozed off reading the title.
Ghostbusters Afterlife (2021)
It seemed to be aimed at a young audience. It was okay but it played like a sequel.
Daisy Miller (1974)
Has mixed reviews but it has excellent production values, some talent in the supporting cast e.g. Nicholas Jones, Cloris Leachman, and Eileen Brennan and it is not overlong.
See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989)
For a single gag scenario, it doesn't do too badly.- Blu-Ray $19.95
Hippopotamus, The (2017)
You'd expect better use of the English language from people who can afford to be educated. There are other annoyances but the casting carries it through.
