Rough Night (2017): Some appealing performances from the ladies help overcome the not so original material.
Barefoot (2014): It failed to make an impression – which is probably a good thing.
Reivers, The (1969): A patchy watch – the screenplay has some good moments in among the ordinary stuff.
Hunger Games, The (2012): It is a good screenplay with some intelligence going into the action scenes rather than violence for violence sake.
Girls Just Want to Have Fun (1985): Some good dancing and the female cast are good company.
Fatal Attraction (1987): The screenplay is straightforward and pretty predictable but it does pick up a little toward the end. The original filmed ending was reshot.
Paranormal Activity (2007): If you are new to this kind of horror film I suppose it could be scary.; DVD $14.95
All American High (All American High Revisited) (1985-2014): Most of the kids are mainly white unfortunately and well heeled – so are not too interesting but the documentary has some archival value.
Multiplicity (1996): The plot idea is fine but hard to keep it going feature length.
Place Promised in Our Early Days, The (2004): The attraction was not in the characters but in the animation of railway carriages etc. and the landscapes. The sci–fi aspect of the screenplay has some strength and was well written.
