Wear a raincoat it is one of the wetter screenplays. Although the ending is not as strong as it promises the screenplay for the most part is well written and interesting.
Aussie films are known for their supporting character actors and this one is no exception. The comedy, unusually, actually gets stronger with a climax worth waiting for.
Other than its production values there is little to admire but that is not to say that it might not be enjoyed if in the right mood. A bit overlong all the same.
Although the two performances were fine the talking heads format was okay for about an hour. The only real interest after that was the threat that the kid might make a reappearance.
A road movie on Anatolia time. Humans seem out of place dwarfed by the nothingness surrounding them. The screenplay has plenty of time and space to spotlight human frailties.
