Jeepers Creepers (2001)
It has some good moments but its hard to come with original screenplay ideas in this genre.
Life Blood (Pearblossom) (2009)
It doesn't take itself seriously – it is enjoyable trash. Nothing wrong with the soundtrack though.
Saint Jack (1979)
Made on a Roger Corman budget it is a good example of economical film making. The great character actor Denholm Elliott leads the talented British support cast but this is Ben Gazzara's film. He has the slow burn down to a tee.
Throne of Blood (1957)
While Mifune rants and raves (expertly I might add) Isuzu Yamada controls the world by barely moving her lips. The set designs, the locations, the photography and the weather are all wonderfully depressing. The death scene is pure art by the film makers.
Vertical Limit (2000)
The falling off sides of mountains down thousands of feet looked convincing so well done to the stunt people – I hope you survived and that it wasn't your last job.
Two Jacks (2012)
According to the "Making Of" there is no script which might explain the lack of excitement in the screenplay but Danny Huston is usually worth a watch.
Warlock (1959)
Its an intelligent screenplay but it drags toward the end and would benefit from losing about 20 minutes. Widmark and Fonda are the pick of a fine cast.
My Bodyguard (1980)
Adam Baldwin is good throughout even though the screenplay weakens out. The subplot with Ruth Gordon doesn't seem to go anywhere or maybe is forgotten about. Equally John Houseman pops in but thats about it for him.
James and the Giant Peach (1997)
Joanna Lumley and Miriam Margolyes help to bolster the non–animated segments. The animation style is very suitable for a Roald Dahl's story.
Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping (2016)
I suspected it might have been intended as a mock–umentary – but the characters weren't that watchable.
