Candyman (1992)
Long Kiss Goodnight, The (1996)
The screenplay is uneven – some restraint in the machine gun fire would have helped – but Gina rises above it – there is a pretty strong supporting cast.
Lady from Shanghai (1948)- What is good is very good with the highlights being courtroom scene plus the different uses of the black & white photography. Rita looking poo–eyed into Welles's eyes looks ridiculous but there are good performances from Everett Sloane & Glenn Anders.
Last Night (2010)- I kept getting the males mixed up – these unshaven wonders all look alike.
Tumbledown (2015)- I don't see the point of making stuff like this – nothing happens and it doesn't go anywhere – a waste of Rebecca's time.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)- I don't think it could make up its mind the age of its audience it wanted to appeal to so it covered a few bases.
Red Riding Hood (2011)- Twilight was boring and except for some nice photography this sequel is no better.
Yes, Giorgio (1982)- The singing is not too bad but the romantic pursuit is very unconvincing – some of the other padding is okay though.
Jungle Book, The (2016)
- The animation is very lifelike and it looks capable of giving the human actors the permanent move over.
Hidden Fortress (1958)
The comedic theme helps sustain its running time. I will remember most the physical demands placed on the peasant couple; the action shots of the horses & horsemanship & the wonderful panoramic views (which are used sparingly).
