Matariki (2010): The way it started out I thought it was a comedy but most of the lightness disappears shortly after only to reappear in flashes during the drama some of which is quite heavy. Not great but watchable.
Masques (1987): Watchable but the screenplay isn't particularly strong.
Last Night in Soho (2021): When arriving in the big smoke Thomasin McKenzie looks suitably in awe and lost. She then combines well with Anya Taylor–Joy in negotiating everything the writers throw at them, Terence Stamp included. The soundtrack is worthy of the period.
Sex, Lies and Videotape (1989): The characters have minimum interests in life and they themselves just aren't interesting – they deserve each other.
Tune, The (1992): Okay, but the animation is not particularly strong in comparison with some of his other works.
Let Him Go (2020): The main interest was the casting of the talented ladies Lesley Manville & Diane Lane and they might make it worthwhile.
Mad Detective (2007): The screenplay should please action fans.
Back to Stay (2011): At its best when the sisters are bitching at each other.
Vivre Sa Vie (My Life to Live) (1962): The screenplay is interesting enough and there are plenty of 60's Paris street scenes as a bonus.
Pig (2021): After the character of the title disappears there isn't a great deal left.; DVD $29.95 | Blu-Ray $34.95
