Centurion (2010)
Based on the body count its surprising that any of us have ancestors. The killing was done either to shock or impress the audience & although it wasn't necessary to have such a talented cast to do that at least it was done on an equal opportunities basis
Crimson Peak (2015)
Good production values but the screenplay doesn't have a great deal to distinguish it from others in the sub–genre.
Million Dollar Duck (1971)
Sandy Duncan does well – the consistent James Gregory is in support but Joe Flynn steals every scene he's in and especially the excellent swimming pool scene.
Snows of Kilimanjaro, The (1952)
Peck's character is dying which suits his acting style but its hard to determine how far rigor mortis has set in. The plot loses a star for its blood sport loving characters – Hayward has nothing to do so she says she will go out and shoot some wildlife.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016)
Well produced and some fresh aspects to the screenplay for a zombie comedy/horror but a bit overlong for what it has to offer.
Mahana (2016)
The script gets a bit preachy at times but the period wardrobe, props and set designs look to be spot on.
Love Happens (2009)
When the climax finally arrives its dreadfully soppy (or comical) but you are given plenty of time to recover while waiting for the ending to arrive.
Law Abiding Citizen (2009)
Some of the violence is overdone and some of it is just plain silly. An uneven performance from Butler doesn't help.
Mississippi Grind (2015)
A straightforward drama that doesn't have much originality but needless to say has a terrific bluesy soundtrack.
How to Be Single (2016)
A few "Oh My Gods" establish its credentials as a comedy.
