Smokin' Aces 2 (The Assassins Ball) (2010): Should have just let them burn.
Last Orders (2001): No matter the Quality of the casting, the screenplay just didn't get going.
Return of the Living Dead, The (1985): Great work by the Makeup Department on the Dead.
Mambo Kings, The (1991): There are some perfectly good music segments but it shoots itself in the foot with the rest of it.; DVD $19.95
Pumpkin Eater, The (1964): Even if the screenplay might not always appeal, the casting should maintain the interest.
Blue Steel (1990): In these dramas, it is important to cast the villain correctly, and in this, it succeeded.
Clouds of Sils Maria (2014): Heavy on dialogue but the performances make up for it.
There's Still Tomorrow (2023): The writing is clever and its feminist message well made.; DVD $29.95
Alvin Purple / Alvin Rides Again (1973): Alvin P: 50 years on it has cult value even if the material is not particularly strong. Alvin Rides Again: ditto.
Partisan (2015): Kids with guns. I will give the filmmaker the benefit of the doubt in that the intention of the screenplay was good.; Blu-Ray $24.95
