All About Steve (2009)
Its very hard to dislike – I'm not a Sandra B fan but I've never seen her better – a very good dippy character performance.
Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011)
What a supporting cast – what a waste. Julianne in particular is used to and deserves better material than this.
Song One (2014)
Anne does well to keep the padding interesting between the excellent musical numbers.
Danish Girl, The (2015)
Spot on acting from the two leads and the set designs, props and wardrobe are excellent. The screenplay could never be boring because of the subject matter.
Peter Pan (2003)
Jason Isaacs heads an excellent adult cast – there is plenty of entertaining action and the set designs are well done.
Anomalisa (2015)
The screenplay didn't make much of an impression but the animation was admirable.
Wimbledon (2004)
A weak screenplay which climaxes in a boys own magazine type tennis match – the characters are not only not interesting they are boring as well.
Sinister 2 (2015)
Its not much different to many others except I felt like strangling the main kid.
Room (2015)
A worthy and topical subject to dramatise – the acting is fine although the kid's shrieking voice (maybe deliberate for authenticity) is hard to put up with. The first half is not an easy watch but the second part is on more familiar territory.
Spy Kids 3-D (Game Over) (2003)
Plays like a video game which is fine if you like video games.
