Ex Machina (2015): The special effects were well done but the screenplay didn't make much of an impression.
Trumbo (2015): My problem with dramatisations of true events is that they are not necessary. Documentary makers are best placed to relate facts. As entertainment it is watchable – although I thought Helen looked a bit out of place there were some good performances.
Marti - The Passionate Eye (2004)
Pride and Glory (2008): Macho characters and macho script but even with Voight and Farrell on board it fails to hold the attention.
I Love You, Man (2009): An "Oh My God" comedy with a script that is juvenile at times.
Victor Frankenstein (2015): The set designs are fine but there is little new in the material and Radcliffe looks out of place and a bit silly.
Month of Sundays, A (2016): A good performance from Julia Blake and John Clarke's scene stealing adds interest but overall its not memorable.; DVD $29.95
Running Man, The (1987): A familiar story line but there is entertainment value and some comedic touches.
Dead Ringer (1964): Bette is very good and is ably assisted by a capable supporting cast. The plot is more entertaining than enthralling thanks to the cast and a good script.
In-Laws, The (1979): Arkin and Falk really do work well together –its effortless and they give the impression that they've been partners for a lifetime.A silly plot but who cares.
