Fantastic Four, The (2015)
Because there has been so many special effects fantasy films you need to provide something different – this one doesn't.
Stardust (2007)
Uneven but with more ups than flat bits. There are some really enjoyable off beat comedy moments.
Go-Between, The (1971)
The cricket match & booze up are worth the price of admission & highlight the main issue of the film. Margaret Leighton is uncomfortable among those who don't wear blazers. The props, wardrobe and photography are impeccable.
Cinderella (2015)
This well produced version breathes some fresh air into the much filmed tale. Older hands in the supporting cast (it oozes talent) steal the show.
Species (1995)
The creature is excellent but there is little freshness in the plot.
Cursed (2005)
A watchable if not outstanding horror – if the story lacks interest at times there is always Christina to add interest.
Alpha Dog (2006)
Far too long for the material and consequently it fails to hold the attention – although there are some watchable segments & performances.
Fantasia 2000 (1999)
The concept is still a winner. The Sorcerer's Apprentice is legendary and the flamingo segment is excellent.
Underworld: Evolution (2005)
Has a British cast that many productions could only dream about. The set designs and make up are very good but the special effects are noisy and the plot consists of action on top of action but little else.
Whatever Happened To Brenda Hean (2008)
