Rock Star (2001)
Uneven – Timothy Spall heads some acting talent in the support cast so there is usually something to fall back on.
Tin Cup (1996)
Why is it every project that involves Costner takes over two hours? Some of the dialogue with Rene is soppy.
Curb Your Enthusiasm - Season 1 (TV Series) (1999)
An interview with David explains that some of the "script" is ad lib but that's no excuse for the poor level of comedy. Maybe the series is intended to offer something other than comedy and I've missed it(?)
Mildred Pierce (1945)
Easy on the eye black and white photography. The solid story keeps moving along. Good lead acting from Joan and in support from Eve Arden and in a small part from Butterfly McQueen.
Listen Up Philip (2014)
I really don't know what this was about – if it was about something then Jonathan Pryce added value to it.
White Countess, The (2005)
The story lags at times? Don't appreciate the excellent cast? Then admire the production values.
Fanboys (2008)
Likeable comedy with a reasonable story – the characters aren't too irritating.
Lord of the Elves (Clash of the Empires) (2012)
Its got nothing to recommend it but you feel some admiration for it sticking its fingers up the nose of some other films it has ripped off.
Funny Lady (1975)
Two good musical numbers and one amusing segment but there is quite a bit of ordinary stuff in between.
Frog Dreaming (The Quest, The Go-Kids) (1986)
Superior children's film for all ages – very good story – love the opening scene.
